Trump on New Armenia–Azerbaijan Peace Deal

For 35 years they fought and now they are going to be friends for a long time.

It is a great honor to welcome everyone to the White House. I want to welcome the two wonderful leaders for coming to Washington to sign this historic declaration.

I didn't ask for it, but it is a great honor for me that the route will bear my name.

The route will allow Azerbaijan to be able to pass to Nakhichevan, fully respecting Armenia's sovereignty.

Armenia is establishing an exclusive partnership with the US to develop this corridor, which can be extended for up to 99 years. American companies are extremely interested in joining the infrastructure development.

Armenia and Azerbaijan commit to permanently ceasing all military operations, opening trade, and respecting each other's territorial integrity.

The US is lifting the restrictions on military cooperation with Azerbaijan (referring to the well-known 907th Amendment).
