Earthquake 13 km Southeast of Gavar
On May 1 at 07:47 local time, a 2.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded by the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, 13 km southeast of Gavar.
The hypocenter was 10 km deep. The underground tremors in the epicentral zone reached a strength of 3–4 points.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the earthquake was felt in the towns of Gavar and Martuni in the Gegharkunik Province, as well as in the villages of Yeranos, Vardadzor, Dzoragyugh, Sarukhan, Lanjaghbyur, and Gegharkunik, with an intensity of 2–3 points.
