Two 26-year-olds arrested in Zovuni while planting drug packages

In Zovuni, 26-year-old residents of Abovyan and Byureghavan were arrested while planting a drug package. Officers of the Nairi department of the community police had received operational information that two young men were selling drugs by placing them in the village of Zovuni in the Kotayk region.

The information was processed with the regional patrols. While placing a drug package on Zovuni's 30th street, the 26-year-old youths, residents of Abovyan and Byureghavan, were arrested and taken to the department. A search of the Abovyan resident revealed 14 packages with a total weight of about 27 grams.

He admitted that the packages contained marijuana, which they had acquired through the internet and were supposed to place in Zovuni for money. A folding knife was found during the search of the young man from Byureghavan. The young men and the compiled documents have been submitted to the preliminary investigation body, and the circumstances are being clarified.
