Zelenskyy to Visit Washington, Seek Tomahawk Missiles

Donald Trump has announced that he plans to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on October 17. Kyiv has confirmed that Zelenskyy will travel to Washington this week. The agenda will include issues of supplying American weapons to Kyiv. It is announced that Zelenskyy will also have meetings with American defense and energy companies, and members of Congress.

According to unofficial sources, the main purpose of the Ukrainian President's upcoming visit will be to obtain Trump's consent for the supply of Tomahawk long-range missiles to Ukraine. This is not ruled out in Russia either. Statements have already been made from Moscow at various levels, warning Washington that such a deal could lead to additional tension, not only on the Ukrainian front but also in Russian-American relations.
