Zelenskyy to Meet US Envoy in Istanbul, Russia to Skip Talks

Ukraine is preparing to intensify peace negotiations with Russia by developing concrete solutions that will be proposed to international partners. This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, informing about an upcoming meeting.

"We are preparing to intensify the negotiations and have developed solutions that we will propose to our partners," Zelenskyy noted. He added that a meeting is scheduled in Turkey on November 19, which will also be attended by the US President's special representative, Steve Witkoff.

Parallel to this announcement, the Kremlin has clarified that the Russian side will not participate in the discussions to be held in Istanbul.

"Zelenskyy's and Witkoff's Istanbul meetings will take place without Russia's participation. We will wait and see what will be discussed in Istanbul," said the Russian President's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov.
