Zelenskyy: Ukraine Liberates 160 sq km in Donetsk Counteroffensive

Zelenskyy spoke about the counter-offensive operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction.

We are now carrying out one of our counter-offensive operations in the Donetsk direction, in the Pokrovsk district, in the Dobropillia district. There are tough battles, but we have managed to inflict significant losses on the Russians. In fact, our forces are depriving the occupier of the opportunity to carry out a full-fledged offensive operation in this direction, which they had planned for a long time and relied on. The operation is continuing as we had decided.

According to Zelenskyy, the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU, Syrskyi, reported on the territories liberated during the operation.

Since the beginning of the operation, our fighters have already liberated 160 square kilometers. We have replenished our exchange fund: almost 100 Russian prisoners already, there will be more. In this direction, seven settlements have already been liberated, and another nine have been cleared of the Russian presence.
