Zakharova: The West is "very afraid" of Putin's new weapon

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, has stated that the West is seriously concerned and frightened by Russia's newest weaponry. During her speech at a session of the "Otkroy ATOM" international scientific-tourism forum, she specifically addressed the reaction of Western countries after the demonstration of the "Burevestnik" missile, describing it as a manifestation of hidden fear.
"We are now hearing the reactions [of Western countries] about the 'Burevestnik.' They are not silent. They have a slight degree of joy that is turning into admiration. They are very afraid of what we will show them next," the diplomat said, as quoted by TASS. Zakharova's words came in response to the discussions that have unfolded after Russia's recent demonstrations of its military potential.
These statements were preceded by a declaration from Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 26. He had reported the successful completion of "decisive tests" of the unlimited-range "Burevestnik" cruise missile and announced that work on its deployment had begun. "This is a unique product that no one else in the world has," Putin noted, emphasizing the technological superiority of the Russian military-industrial complex.
Shortly thereafter, the Russian leader also announced the "successful testing" of the "Poseidon" nuclear torpedo. According to him, this weapon is also unprecedented in its speed and depth of travel.
