On September 23, at around 20:05, the Yerevan City Criminal Department of the Criminal Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received information that 30,000 US dollars had been stolen from a citizen. This is reported by SHAMSHYAN.com.
Aghavni G., a 53-year-old resident of Yerevan, told the criminal police that on the same day, she saw an advertisement for a profitable currency exchange point on the "Rate Pro" page of the social network "Facebook." After that, she contacted a user of the said page, who introduced himself as Davit, via the "WhatsApp" application. She arranged with him to exchange 30,000 US dollars for Armenian drams at the "Yerevan City" located at 15/5 Rubinyants Street. Then, at around 19:10, at the specified shopping center, on Davit's instruction, she handed the money to the driver of a car with license plate "X," who in turn passed it to another person, and in this way, Davit fraudulently stole 30,000 US dollars from her.
Thanks to the measures taken by the criminal police, it was revealed that the driver of the car with license plate "X" is Harutyun S., a 50-year-old resident of Armavir province. Measures are being taken to identify the person who committed the act, to find him and the stolen money, and to present them to the body conducting the proceedings.
