Yerevan to Host "Cultural Crossroads" Int'l Conference

On November 27-28, the "Cultural Crossroads" Yerevan International Conference will be held in Yerevan, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions. This is reported by the Ministry of ESCS.
Delegations from more than a dozen countries, as well as representatives from UNESCO and other international organizations, will arrive in Yerevan to participate in the conference.
The official opening of the conference will take place on November 27 at 10:00 at the "Matenadaran" M. Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts. The opening ceremony will be followed by a plenary session on "The 2005 UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions: 20 Years of Achievements and Prospects."
There will also be plenary discussions on the creative industry, the diversity of cultural expression in the digital age, and other topics.
Within the framework of the conference, a memorandum of understanding will be signed between the Ministry of ESCS of the RA and the Swedish Arts Grants Committee.
There will also be a cancellation of the "Tradition of Blacksmithing in Gyumri" postage stamp, as well as the "My Way" exhibition of the "Teryan" cultural center.
