Yerevan Buys 45 New Trolleybuses from China for ֏4.3B

Yerevan Municipality has purchased 45 new trolleybuses from China, Sputnik Armenia has reviewed the contract. The cost of each vehicle is 96 million drams, and the total contract value is about 4.3 billion drams.
According to the contract, the trolleybuses must accommodate at least 85 people, with a seating capacity of 25+3. They must be equipped with folding ramps for people in wheelchairs.
The municipality had previously announced that the new batch of trolleybuses will replace 30 "LiAZ" brand trolleybuses, which have been in operation for about 20 years. In total, 75 new trolleybuses will be operated in the capital.
In September, the government allocated about 2 billion 138 million drams for the advance payment for the acquisition of new trolleybuses and new elevators for high-rise buildings in Yerevan.
