False Kidnapping Alarm on Bus #50: Official Response

On November 2, an incident occurred in a vehicle servicing route number 50. This was reported by Gegham Asatryan, the spokesperson for "Yerevan Bus" CJSC. "Around 10:50 PM, a passenger boarded the vehicle servicing the said route and demanded that the driver drive in the direction he specified. The driver advised the passenger to take a bus from the opposite sidewalk, as he does not travel in that direction.

The passenger made threats, used profanity, and then called the police, reporting that the driver had kidnapped him. The driver of 'Yerevan Bus' CJSC filed a crime report today, and the bus's cameras are, as appropriate, ready to be provided to the investigating body," writes the spokesperson.
