Representatives of several countries have expressed their support for US President Donald Trump's plan for Gaza. This is reported by Al Jazeera.
French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Trump's plan, stating on the X platform: "I expect Israel to be decisively involved in this principle. Hamas has no alternative but to immediately release all hostages and implement this plan." Macron also confirmed France's readiness to contribute to the implementation of the plan and monitor the parties' commitments.
"We call on all parties to unite and cooperate with the US administration to finalize and implement this proposal," said British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. According to him, the Palestinian Hamas movement should accept the US plan, lay down its arms, and release the remaining hostages.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also welcomed the US proposal, noting that it could be a "turning point for a permanent cessation of hostilities, the immediate release of all hostages, and full and safe humanitarian access for the civilian population."
"I highly appreciate the efforts and leadership of US President Donald Trump to stop the bloodshed in Gaza and achieve a ceasefire," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan wrote on his X microblog. He added that Turkey will continue to support the diplomatic process and intends to contribute to the establishment of a "just and lasting peace acceptable to all parties."
The Norwegian government welcomed Trump's plan and stated that it expects a clear response from Israel, noting that it is in close contact with partners in the region and beyond.
The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt issued a joint statement reaffirming their commitment to positive and constructive cooperation with the United States and the parties to finalize the agreement and ensure its implementation.
The Palestinian leadership also welcomed the American and Arab efforts to end the war in Gaza, praising Trump's position.
Qatar and Egypt have conveyed Trump's plan to Hamas's negotiating team, which in turn has promised intermediaries to study Trump's proposal. According to sources, Hamas's position will be clear in the coming days.
