Winter Tires Mandatory in Armenia from November 15

From November 15 to March 31, inclusive, the operation of vehicles without appropriate winter tires will be prohibited.

Specifically, the operation of a vehicle will be prohibited if:

passenger cars and trucks with a permissible maximum mass of up to 3.5 tons are not equipped with winter tires,
the residual tread depth of winter tires intended for operation in icy or snow-covered road conditions is 4 millimeters or less during traffic in the said road conditions,

Administrative liability measures are in place for violating the prescribed requirements.

One of the priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is the creation of a safe environment for the life and health of citizens.

Dear traffic participants, the Ministry of Internal Affairs urges you to observe traffic safety rules, acquire winter tires with a permissible tread depth, and exhibit conscious, law-abiding, and orderly behavior.
