Why Don't the New Garbage Trucks Please the "Hovhanneses"?

The 15 new "Howo" brand garbage trucks acquired by the Yerevan Municipality are already in Yerevan. This was reported by Sasha Katvalyan, director of the "Yerevan Waste Removal and Sanitary Cleaning" institution, during a working meeting on September 29.

"The handover-acceptance process will start today. After the vehicles undergo a technical inspection and have an 'Appa' contract, they will start working," he said. Tigran Avinyan noted that it was a very important purchase made this year. "We are actually updating our fleet to some extent every year, and this is the next batch," Avinyan said, joking: "It seems the Hovhanneses are a bit displeased that we also call this car 'Howo,' but there it's with a 'w,' and therefore, all coincidences are accidental. I am confident that these garbage trucks will serve our city well."
