"Golden Apricot" Film Festival Announces 2025 Winners

The "Golden Apricot" International Film Festival has crossed the finish line. The closing ceremony of the 22nd "Golden Apricot" International Film Festival was held at the Cinema House on July 19.
- In the international feature film competition, the Golden Apricot was awarded to "Fiume o morte!" by Igor Bezinović (Croatia, Italy, Slovenia).
- The Silver Apricot was awarded to "Holy Electricity" by Tato Kotetishvili (Georgia).
- A special mention was given to the film "Songs of a Burning Land" by Olha Zhurba (Ukraine, Denmark, Sweden, France).
- In the "Apricot Stone" competition, the Golden Apricot was awarded to "Motherland" by Gor Arushanyan (Armenia, Poland).
- The Silver Apricot was awarded to "Snake's Soup" by Zak Demirjian (Armenia). The FIPRESCI prize was awarded to "Aisha Can't Fly Away" by Morad Mostafa (Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, France, Germany).
- In the regional competition, the Golden Apricot prize was awarded to "The House is a Foreign Land" (orig: "Take Your Heart and Walk") by Sepideh Farsi (France, Palestine).
- The Silver Apricot was received by "Tehran: An Unfinished Story" by Saeid Nouri (Iran).
- The festival's special "Parajanov Thaler" award for contribution to cinema was presented to the jury president, Cannes Film Festival and César award winner, Mauritanian master Abderrahmane Sissako.
- A "Parajanov Thaler" was also presented to the founder and president of the "Golden Apricot" film festival, Harutyun Khachatryan.
