US Urges Hungary, Slovakia to Renounce Russian Gas & Nuclear

Hungary and Slovakia must give up Russian gas and nuclear energy, the US Secretary of Energy has stated. Chris Wright called on those European countries that still buy Russian energy carriers not to hinder the European Union in ending its dependence on Moscow and to buy from America instead.
At an event in Brussels, Wright stated that it would be more preferable for Europe to receive supplies from "their friends."
In response to a question from Politico about whether Hungary and Slovakia should finally sever their relations with the Kremlin, Wright answered: "undoubtedly."
"We want to replace all Russian gas with American. President Trump, America, and all EU countries want to end the Russian-Ukrainian war," Wright said.
"The more we can limit Russia's ability to finance this bloody war, the better it will be for all of us. So, the answer to your question is absolutely yes."
At the same time, Wright called on European countries to find alternatives to Russian nuclear energy, stating: "We want nuclear technologies to be supplied by the US or the EU itself."
