US to Test Minuteman III Nuclear-Capable Missile

The United States is preparing to conduct a crucial strategic test, demonstrating the power of its nuclear arsenal. On the night of November 5, the U.S. plans to test the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile, capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. This move is seen as a direct response to the recent military activity of the Russian Federation and President Donald Trump's recent calls to test American nuclear weapons.
This was announced in a press release published on the website of the Vandenberg Space Force Base. According to official information, the main purpose of the test is to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the weapon system. Although the missile has the capability to carry a nuclear charge, the test launch will be conducted without a warhead. The launch is scheduled to take place on the night of November 4-5, between 11:01 PM and 5:01 AM Pacific Time (on the morning of November 5, Yerevan time).
This test is taking place against a backdrop of high political tension. At the end of October, U.S. President Donald Trump had announced the necessity of conducting "immediate" tests of American nuclear weapons. His call followed the successful tests of the "Burevestnik" cruise missile and the "Poseidon" underwater torpedo in Russia, which are viewed in the West as an attempt to disrupt the strategic balance.
On November 3, the American magazine "Newsweek," referring to the upcoming event, wrote that this launch of the Minuteman III will be the first such test in the United States since President Trump's announcement. This indicates that Washington is not only checking the technical condition of its arsenal, as American official sources comment, but is also sending a clear military-political signal to its main rivals, demonstrating the reliability and readiness of its own deterrent forces. By this calculation, the upcoming test goes beyond the scope of a routine military exercise, becoming an important episode in the escalating competition and show of force among the world's nuclear powers.
