19 NOV 2025 06:25
A noticeable activation has begun on the diplomatic front towards the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. The reputable publication Axios, citing American and Russian officials, reports that the United States and Russia are secretly working on a new, comprehensive plan to end the war in Ukraine. Against the backdrop of this information, Politico reports that a delegation of high-ranking Pentagon representatives is already in Kyiv to discuss the prospects of the peace process with Russia with the Ukrainian leadership.
According to Axios's sources, the peace project consists of 28 points and includes four main components that should lay the foundation for a long-term settlement of the conflict. Those components are:
  • Peace in Ukraine: This section presumably defines the specific mechanisms and conditions for the cessation of hostilities.
  • Security guarantees: This point concerns ensuring the security of both Ukraine and other countries in the region, with the aim of preventing future aggression.
  • Security in Europe: The program aims to address broader, pan-European security issues, taking into account the concerns of all parties.
  • Washington's future relations with Moscow and Kyiv: This section provides for regulating the format of post-war relations between the US, Russia, and Ukraine.
Against the backdrop of these secret negotiations, according to Politico, a high-ranking Pentagon delegation has arrived in Kyiv. The main purpose of the visit is to involve the Ukrainian leadership in the activation of the deadlocked peace process with Russia. As the publication notes, "the United States is striving to find ways to accelerate the end of the war."
