US Launches "Southern Spear" Op Against Drug Cartels

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has announced the launch of a military operation against drug cartels. It has been named "Southern Spear." The main goal of the operation is the elimination of "narco-terrorists" in the Western Hemisphere and ensuring the country's security from drugs.

The US Army intends to take tough measures to stop the illicit trafficking of drugs. According to Hegseth, this mission is an order from President Donald Trump to protect the homeland. The operation will be led by the "Southern Spear" joint operational task force and the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM). Within the framework of the mission, it is also planned to use robotic and autonomous systems to detect and control drug smuggling.
