US Envoy Witkoff Says He Spent 24-25 Hours in Meetings with Putin

US President's Special Envoy Steven Witkoff stated that he has spent a total of about 24-25 hours in meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and his inner circle. He gave this assessment in an interview with Fox News on August 19.

He clarified that this was "personal time with him, as well as with some of his people," specifically mentioning Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

It should be recalled that Witkoff has repeatedly traveled to Russia, where he was received by the Russian leadership, including Vladimir Putin. The parties discussed, in particular, issues of settlement of the Ukrainian issue.
