US, Allies Developing Plan to Send Troops to Ukraine

A plan to deploy foreign military personnel on the territory of Ukraine is being developed with the support of the US and a number of allies, reports The Wall Street Journal, citing its sources.

According to the publication, a plan has already been approved that provides for the sending of more than ten thousand servicemen, who will be divided into two groups: one will be engaged in the training of Ukrainian military personnel, and the other in ensuring security.

High-ranking American generals, including the head of the US command of NATO, are participating in the discussion of the plan.

"These plans were developed with the participation of a number of American generals who were involved in the discussions. Among them is the head of the US command of NATO for the operations of the North Atlantic Alliance," The Wall Street Journal quotes its source as saying.
