In the UN, 142 countries have adopted the New York Declaration in support of the implementation of the principle of the coexistence of two states. French President Emmanuel Macron wrote about this on his X microblog.
"Today, under the leadership of France and Saudi Arabia, 142 countries adopted the New York Declaration on the implementation of the principle of the coexistence of two states. Together, we are opening an irreversible path to peace in the Middle East.
France, Saudi Arabia, and all their partners will arrive in New York to bring this peace plan to life at the conference on the creation of two states.
A different future is possible: two peoples, two states—Israel and Palestine—living side by side in peace and security. It is up to us to make it happen," noted Macron.
According to the voting results, Armenia also voted in favor of the declaration. In total, 142 states voted in favor, 10 against, and 12 abstained.
