Ukrainians Strike Russian Refineries, Commander Claims
28 AUG 2025 08:10
"Production in August has decreased by 21%": the commander of the drone forces, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, has confirmed a new attack on Russian oil refineries. According to him, oil refining in Russia has been reduced by 21% in just 2 weeks of August, and last night, fuel production for the Russians decreased by another 4.7%.
The Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region has a refining capacity of 7 million tons of oil per year (2.5% of the total volume), and the Afipsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar Krai has a capacity of 6.25 million tons (2.2% of the total volume).
To recall, non-Ukrainian sources recently published slightly more modest, but still tangible figures on this topic, noting that in August alone, as a result of the strikes inflicted by the Ukrainians, fuel production for the Russians decreased by about 17%.
