Ukrainian Troops Risk Encirclement in Pokrovsk: BILD

The situation for Ukrainian troops in the Pokrovsk direction is critical, and there is a real danger of partial or complete encirclement of units. This is reported by BILD, citing Ukrainian military personnel on the front line, which contradicts Kyiv's official reports.

According to the publication's sources, Russian forces have managed to break through the defenses and enter the residential areas of Pokrovsk. This advance has created an immediate threat of encirclement for the Ukrainian forces. The soldiers BILD spoke with describe the situation as "critical."

This information is being published against the backdrop of the Ukrainian General Staff's continued insistence that Pokrovsk is being held and that Russian attacks have been repelled. However, according to the German publication, data from the front line paint a picture detached from reality.

The seriousness of the situation is further emphasized by the words of another soldier, who described the situation in neighboring Myrnohrad. According to him, their units are practically trapped.

"Our guys are in a trap in Myrnohrad," the Ukrainian soldier told BILD.

He added that even if an order to retreat is given, the probability of survival is extremely small. "Even if they order a retreat, few will get out alive," he noted.

According to the soldiers, retreating in the current situation has become pointless. They emphasize that it is better to wait for liberation or, in the worst-case scenario, to be captured, than to try to break out of the deadly encirclement.
