Ukrainian Drones Strike Russian Oil Refinery and Chemical Plant

Official sources in Kyiv report that Ukrainian drones have hit the Kirishi oil refinery in Russia.

As a result of the attack, a large-scale fire broke out at the plant, which is confirmed by satellite images from NASA FIRMS, Ukrainian sources note.

They emphasize that the strike was carried out at a distance of 800 km from the Ukrainian border and that this oil refinery is the main supplier of petroleum products to the St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Novgorod, and Pskov regions.

In addition, Ukrainian UAVs also carried out an attack in the Perm Krai. There, the chemical plant of Metafrax Chemicals PJSC was hit.

The enterprise is one of the largest producers of methanol and its derivatives in Russia and Europe. Methanol, in turn, is used in the production of fuel, plastics, fertilizers, synthetic resins, formalin, and other components.
