UK to Give 5,000 Missiles; Germany to Buy Patriots for Kyiv

The United Kingdom will transfer 5,000 anti-aircraft defense missiles to Ukraine. Reuters reports on a new military aid package under a 19-year loan.

The British government has also reaffirmed its readiness to provide up to £283 million in bilateral aid to Ukraine over the next year. The funds will be directed towards humanitarian needs, energy, stabilization, reforms, and reconstruction.

Germany is ready to buy Patriot systems from the US to transfer them to Ukraine, Merz announced. Earlier, Bild had written that Germany is awaiting the Pentagon's approval to transfer two Patriot air defense systems to Kyiv.
