Turkish Defense Firm MKE Opens Subsidiary in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijan-Turkey military-industrial cooperation continues to deepen: the State Tax Service of Azerbaijan has officially registered the "Makine ve Kimya Azerbaijan" limited liability company. This is the official subsidiary structure in Azerbaijan of one of the leading enterprises of the Turkish military-industrial complex, "Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi A.Ş.".

The legal address of the newly created company is 103 Zarifa Aliyeva Street, Sabail district, Baku city. The company's charter capital amounts to a significant sum - 1 million manats. Ilhami Keleş, a citizen of Turkey, who is also the deputy chairman of the board of the parent company, "Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi A.Ş.", has been appointed as the legal representative. This step testifies to the raising of the institutional level of ties between the two countries in the military industry sector.

Its manifestations were earlier expressed in deep cooperation in the field of drone production. They have even started producing drones with Turkish technologies in Azerbaijan.
