Now in the Open: Turkey Also Has Its Preconditions for Yerevan

At the OSCE PA session in Istanbul, the Armenian delegation made a historic statement emphasizing its readiness to establish peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as its expectation for the normalization of relations with Turkey.

At the same time, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that the border with Armenia would only be opened after the signing of a final peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku, effectively freezing expectations for progress. Turkish analysts assessed this as a result of pressure from Baku, which is reflected in Ankara's official statements.
