Turkish Authorities Arrest Assan Group Leaders for Espionage

Turkish authorities have arrested Emin Öner, owner of the defense-construction conglomerate Assan Group, and CEO Gürkan Okumuş. This was reported by Reuters, citing the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office.

They are accused of military espionage and membership in FETÖ.

The Prosecutor's Office added that the investigation into the case and searches in the suspects' homes and offices are ongoing. Meanwhile, Assan Group has denied reports of receiving secret information about Turkish army procurements, calling them "slanderous."
