US President Donald Trump made a series of statements addressing global politics, from Syria to India. He also touched on domestic American issues, promising new allocations if he is supported and new costs otherwise.
In his speech, Trump presented his vision of the current state of the world, stating: "The world is on fire." He emphasized the central role of the United States, adding: "The world is the United States. Before I came along, the world was robbing us."
Addressing regional developments, Trump praised the activities of the Turkish president. "Erdoğan is a great leader, and he is very much in favor of what is happening in Syria," he noted.
His positive assessment of Syria's new leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, was noteworthy. According to Trump, al-Sharaa can lead Syria to success. "People say he has a tough past, but he wouldn't have had a chance if he didn't have a tough past," the US president stated.
Within the domestic economic agenda, Trump promised to provide financial support to the population. "We will provide our middle and low-income people with a dividend of about $2,000. We will also use tariffs to reduce our debt," he said. At the same time, Trump warned of potential financial risks if his policy is not supported or if the tariff increases are canceled: "The real money that we would have had to pay back in the form of tariff revenues and investments will exceed $2 trillion, and that in itself will be a national security disaster."
In the context of tariffs, Trump mentioned India, promising to reduce the tariffs imposed on that country. Speaking about relations with the Indian side, Trump noted: "They don't like me now, but they will love us again." At the same time, he praised India, describing it as the home of one of the world's oldest civilizations and "actually the greatest country in the world" with a population of over 1.5 billion.
