Donald Trump may visit China at the end of October or the beginning of November. The South China Morning Post (SCMP) has reported this, citing sources.
The newspaper's interlocutor reported that the Chinese authorities sent an invitation for a state visit to Trump at the beginning of September. This means that the preparatory work is in the "final phase."
The visit will most likely take place before or after the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit to be held in South Korea from October 31 to November 1.
"One of the results of the negotiations could be a new deal for the purchase of American goods," the source noted, adding that "most likely, Boeing aircraft are on the list of American demands." The US insists that China buy 500 Boeing aircraft.
Chinese sources predict that President Xi Jinping may pay a return visit to the United States. It is assumed that this visit could take place in 2026.
