Trump Refers to WWII Atomic Bombings as a "Small Conflict"

US President Donald Trump, who is on a visit to Japan, described the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as a "small conflict."

"Throughout this whole time, our relations with Japan have remained close. It's funny that we had a small conflict with Japan. You may have heard about it. But after such a terrible event, our two countries remain the closest friends and partners you can imagine," said the US President.
