Trump Pledges US Troops Will Remain in Poland

The US president has promised not to withdraw troops from Poland and may even increase the number of troops.

"We have never discussed the possibility of withdrawing troops from Poland. We are discussing it with regard to other countries, but we fully support Poland and will help it defend itself," said the head of the White House, receiving his Polish counterpart Karol Nawrocki in Washington. Trump added that the American military presence in Poland could even be increased "if the Poles want it."

Later, Nawrocki commented on the results of the meeting:

"Trump has given Poland security guarantees and emphasized our cooperation as allies in the military sphere, this is a great success." The Polish president also invited Trump to visit Warsaw, but the date of this supposed visit has not yet been determined.
