Trump Slams UN Inefficiency, Offers "American Leadership"

From the high podium of the UN General Assembly, US President Donald Trump delivered sharp criticism regarding the activities of the organization, accusing it of inaction and ineffectiveness during international conflicts. In his speech, Trump questioned the ability of the UN to have a leading role in the world, instead offering the "hand of American leadership."
The head of the White House emphasized his own successes against the backdrop of the UN's inaction. Trump stated that during his presidency, he received zero support from the UN in ending the "endless wars" that he settled. He insisted: "I ended seven endless wars in seven months." Among those conflicts, he also mentioned the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing that the UN did not support him in any way in these processes.
"Not once has anyone from the UN called me and offered help," the US President noted with indignation.
To emphasize his attitude, Trump resorted to sarcasm, summarizing the "support" he received from the UN. "A broken escalator and a broken teleprompter: that's what I got from the UN," Trump noted, alluding to the fact that at the beginning of his speech the prompter was not working, and before that, the escalator at the time of his arrival.
According to Trump, the UN has "huge potential," but the organization does not realize it "even remotely," especially in matters of conflict resolution. He openly expressed doubt that the structure can play a leading role in global processes.
Trump ended his speech with an alternative proposal. He stated that he had arrived at the UN to extend the "hand of American leadership" to all those who are ready to join the United States in building a safer world. This is seen as a direct challenge to the central role of the UN and a call to rally around Washington.
