The History of Artsakh in the Language of Comics

A comic book about Artsakh, "We Are Our Mountains," has been published in France. It is a fictional story with documentary facts. The author of the idea and the scriptwriter is the French-Armenian director Gorune Aprikian.

The book was co-authored by Jean-Blaise Dijan, and illustrated by the Italian Maria Ricco.
The story begins when, in 1990, a French journalist named Elise goes to Artsakh to cover the Artsakh liberation struggle.

The book presents the struggle of Artsakh, the 44-day war, the blockade, and the forced displacement of the Armenian population of Artsakh. According to the author, this book will allow one to understand, feel, and never forget Artsakh.
