Ter-Petrosyan Sees No Need to Debate Pashinyan

Armenia's first president, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, has sharply denied claims that Nikol Pashinyan is continuing his peace policy, calling it a "false comparison." Prime Minister Pashinyan has invited Ter-Petrosyan to a public debate. Representatives of the ruling force argue that avoiding the debate speaks to the weakness of the opposition's positions. ANC Vice-President Levon Zurabyan and RPA Vice-President Armen Ashotyan have expressed their readiness to participate in the debate, criticizing the prime minister. Ter-Petrosyan has stated that he will only stop the debate if all documents regarding the Karabakh issue are published.
