Tehran Holds Mass Prayer for Rain Amid Drought Fears

A joint prayer for rain was held in Tehran amid the expected drought. Ayatollah Jamaleddin Dinparvar, a student of Imam Khomeini, led the prayer at the Imamzadeh Saleh shrine complex.

As a reminder, earlier Iranian President Pezeshkian had stated that precipitation in Iran this year has been only 3% of the level of previous years. He added that Tehran will be forced to evacuate its residents if it does not rain in the third decade of November. Fars news agency has calculated that 19 reservoirs in Iran are on the verge of completely drying up.
