Attempted Murder in Tavush: Man Tried to Strangle Woman & Child

In a village in the Tavush province, a man entered a citizen's house and tried to strangle a 34-year-old woman and a 1-year-old child, reports Shamshyan.com.

38-year-old B. R. reported that around 04:30, 53-year-old L. P. entered the 2nd floor of the private house, tried to strangle his wife and child, he came to their aid, the man tried to stab him with a knife, and while snatching the knife, B. R. received a bodily injury, his sister was also injured.

Criminal and community police officers arrested and transferred L. P. from the same address to the Tavush police department on the grounds of reasonable suspicion of having committed a crime.

Documents were drawn up at the Tavush police department regarding the incident, which, along with L. P., were submitted to the Berd investigative division of the Tavush regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee, where a criminal proceeding was initiated on the grounds of "attempted murder."
