Tavush, Aragatsotn Dioceses Declare Loyalty to Catholicos

The dioceses of Tavush and Aragatsotn have expressed loyalty to Garegin II. Clergymen in various dioceses of the Armenian Apostolic Church are coming forward with a unified position, expressing their support for Garegin II.

The clergy of the Tavush Diocese, led by the diocesan locum tenens, Rev. Fr. Samvel Mkhitaryan, have issued an official statement. They reaffirmed their vow to remain faithful to the orthodox doctrine of our Holy Church, the ritual-canonical provisions, and, in particular, to Catholicos Garegin II. The clergymen made a special reference to the current situation, describing it as "unacceptable."

The clergy of the Aragatsotn Diocese have also taken a similar initiative. They have circulated a statement certified with their joint signature, by which they have expressed unconditional loyalty to the vow they have taken.
