Prosecutor's Office Demands 2 Billion Drams from Taron Margaryan

The property and funds of the former mayor of Yerevan, Taron Margaryan, have been seized. The General Prosecutor's Office is demanding the confiscation of 2 billion drams, or about 5 million dollars, in property and funds from Margaryan and persons affiliated with him in a lawsuit for the confiscation of property of illicit origin. The market value of Taron Margaryan's mansion at the well-known address 77/7 alone has been estimated at 324 million drams. The former mayor is also required to forfeit 4 vehicles, the market value of which is estimated at around 61 million drams.
