Syrian President in Moscow to Discuss Bases, Assad's Fate

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has arrived in Russia. Sharaa is preparing to hold talks on the continued presence of Russia's naval base in Tartus and the air base in Hmeimim, a Syrian official source reported. This earlier information was also confirmed by the Kremlin spokesman in a conversation with journalists.

Unofficial sources claim that during his visit to Moscow, Ahmed al-Sharaa will officially request the extradition of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to be tried for crimes committed against Syrians.
