Syrian President to Meet Trump at the White House.

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has arrived in Washington for an official visit, where a historic meeting is planned. On November 10, the Syrian leader will meet with US President Donald Trump at the White House.

This diplomatic rapprochement was preceded by a crucial decision on November 6, when the UN Security Council canceled the sanctions against Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Interior Minister Anas Khattab. Notably, the resolution to lift the restrictions was proposed by the United States and received the support of 14 out of 15 Security Council members, including Russia, while China abstained.

The following day, both officials were also removed from the sanctions list in London, finally paving the way for high-level negotiations.
