14 OCT 2025 12:20
On October 12, 2025, the operational management center of the Kotayk region of the MIA police received a report that two bodies with gunshot wounds were found in the fields of Aramus village.
As a result of measures taken jointly with MIA employees, factual data were obtained that on October 12, 2025, on a plot of land located near the field road leading from Aramus village of Kotayk region to Nor Gyugh, during an argument over domestic issues, T.H. fired shots from his smooth-bore rifle at residents of the same village, M.S. and G.Gh., as a result of which the latter died.
Then, the Kotayk regional department of the MIA police received operational information that T.H., immediately after committing the apparent crime, on the field road of Zovashen village in Kotayk region, fired shots with his rifle at V.M. and M.H., killing them. Immediately after the incident, T.H. stole the car belonging to V.M.
On the same day, T.H. was arrested by MIA officers on the basis of a reasonable suspicion that arose immediately after committing the said crime and was brought to the preliminary investigation body, where he gave a confessional testimony.
A decision was made to merge the criminal proceedings into one proceeding. An investigative team has been formed.
The smooth-bore rifle belonging to T.H. was found in the car he had stolen.
Public criminal prosecution has been initiated against T.H. under Part 1 of Article 155 of the Criminal Code (murder) (2 episodes), points 10 and 13 of Part 2 of Article 155 (murder committed with mercenary motives, with the aim of concealing another crime or facilitating its commission) (2 episodes), points 5 and 7 of Part 2 of Article 252 (robbery committed with the use of a weapon or an object or means prepared or adapted in advance for causing bodily harm, in large amounts).
The preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding is ongoing.
