On July 16, around noon, an 11-year-old child was admitted to the Spitak Medical Center with a snakebite. According to relatives, the snake had bitten the child the previous day, but they only found out today and immediately took him to the hospital. This was reported by the Spitak Medical Center.
"All comprehensive examinations were urgently organized at the medical center. Primary treatment of the snakebite wound was carried out, and appropriate medical assistance was provided. The child's condition is assessed as good. A consultation was held with the region's chief infectious disease specialist, and the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention was also informed.
Another victim of a snakebite applied to the medical center around 7:00 PM. In this case, the snake had bitten a 14-year-old child. All relevant bodies were informed, including the Lori Regional Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. On the instruction of the head of the department, Serob Gabrielyan, rescuers from the Spitak Fire and Rescue Squad also arrived. The victim received the necessary appropriate medical care, including anti-venom," the statement said.
