Simonyan, Gafarova Hold "Warm" Meeting; Baku Rules Out Aggression

The conversation about the Armenian prisoners and persons held in Baku was always present not only during the meeting with the Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Gafarova, but also in the public part: NA Speaker Alen Simonyan.
"It was a very warm meeting; we agreed to discuss and propose a mechanism for concrete steps from both sides. We are not talking about the distant future; we both think that everything should be done as quickly as possible and on a large scale. One of the important circumstances of that meeting was that I saw that peace was not only in our hearts, in our perception, but also in the Azerbaijani side," Alen Simonyan noted during a briefing with journalists.
"At one point, there was a conversation with Sahiba Gafarova, for example, about military aggression, that they say such a thing could happen, she said it's impossible, she said we have taken so many steps, done so many things, we have taken on an international obligation," the NA Speaker noted. "There is an understanding that the parliaments must take upon themselves the logic of preparing the public, bringing them closer, and living in the reality of peace, taking steps towards each other. It was a very positive, warm meeting," he added.
