Simonyan Blames "Former Authorities" for Politicizing Murder

The President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, wrote on his social media page:
"Representatives of the former authorities, who lived through a number of political assassinations, March 1s, October 27s, falsified elections, and a criminal subculture, and their cheap servants are trying and will try very hard to link the sad case of Parakar with the current government. They do this so that they do not feel like the only murderer, robber, and fraudster, so that they do not feel so guilty when taking money from former robbers, and so that they can dissociate themselves. But these attempts have been and will be in vain. No one in Armenia is killed or even beaten for their political position. Elections are not falsified in Armenia, and where the government has lost, it occupies its opposition part. No one in Armenia goes unpunished, and every case of violence receives both a political and a legal assessment. Political assassinations, score-settling, and impunity are long in the past - along with you.
My deepest condolences to the relatives of the deceased."
As a reminder, yesterday, on September 23, at 23:52, shots were fired on the Yerevan highway in the Merdzavan settlement of Armavir province. There are 2 dead and 1 injured. One of the deceased is the head of the community, Valodya Grigoryan.
