Siblings of Murdered 3-Year-Old Moved to Care Center

The sister and brothers of 3-year-old Tigran, who was brutally abused and killed by his father Armen Hovhannesov in the village of Tsapatagh, Chambarak community, Gegharkunik region, on October 27, 2025, have been moved to a child care institution.

On the evening of November 4, Vardanush, Avag, Avet, and Aramayis Ovanesov were temporarily moved from their permanent residence to the former "Children's Support Center" of the Armenian Relief Fund, now the "Madrigian" Children's Protection Center, with the support of the relevant authorities.

As a reminder, Tigran Ovanesov, born in 2022, a resident of the village of Tsapatagh, Gegharkunik region, went missing on October 27. The child's body was found on November 2 in a field area, about 60 meters from the sign for the village of Jil, adjacent to the village of Tsapatagh.

On November 3, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Arpine Sargsyan, announced that, according to preliminary data, 3-year-old Tigran was strangled by his father, Armen Ovanesov. It later became known that public criminal prosecution was initiated against Armen Ovanesov under the article of murder, and by a court decision, he was detained for 2 months.
