Serzh Sargsyan: Return of Artsakh Armenians is Their Inalienable Right

The third president of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, has published a message on the occasion of the proclamation day of the Republic of Artsakh.

"Yes, the Republic of Artsakh was not internationally recognized, but the Artsakh issue is internationally recognized as a problem, with international mechanisms previously created for its just and stable settlement.

The possibilities and grounds for exerting international pressure on the Azerbaijani authorities still exist today, but the current administration of Armenia deliberately does not use this toolkit.

We cannot tacitly agree with the defeatist, disastrous, loss-filled policy of the capitulant authorities, which is deceptively presented as peace. Whereas it is not reinforced by any guarantee, and the enemy presents its demands to the capitulant authorities every day.

It is unequivocal: no occupier or dictator, no temporary defeat can shake our will to live freely, independently, peacefully, and happily on the land God has given us, like other peoples.

Artsakh is a sacred part of the Armenian Homeland, and the return of the people of Artsakh is their inalienable and fundamental right," Serzh Sargsyan wrote in particular.
