Semeru Volcano Erupts Eight Times in One Day in Indonesia

In Indonesia's East Java province, eight eruptions of the Semeru volcano were recorded in one day.

It is noted that the ash rose to a height of 800 meters from the crater, or 4,476 meters above sea level, and is spreading in southerly and southwesterly directions.

Semeru is the fourth highest volcano in Indonesia. There are more than 500 volcanoes in Indonesia, 130 of which are active.
