Secret Deal Around "Cow's Garden": Armenian Organizations

A new secret deal has been struck over the "Cow's Garden," six Armenian organizations in Jerusalem are alarming. It was concluded between Nurhan Manukyan, the Armenian Apostolic Church's Patriarch of Jerusalem, and the Israeli company "Xana Gardens," without community approval.

The deal is dangerous because it contains a demand to withdraw the requirements of the first document. The Patriarchate hoped to secretly sign the document on the transfer of historical Armenian gardens, contradicting the interests of the community.

The six Armenian organizations in a statement call for the agreement not to be ratified, all its points to be published, and to cooperate with the community, whose future is at risk.

Let's recall that in July 2021, Archbishop Nurhan signed an agreement with "XANA" to lease the "Cow's Garden" area for 99 years. In 2023, Manukyan, against the background of public protest, canceled the deal, and lawyers went to court demanding its annulment. After that, a series of attacks were carried out on the Armenian community.
